‘High on Love’ was an image shot in a friend’s garden whilst celebrating an engagement. I’d been on an unsuccessful shoot that day and had the figures in my pocket. It was while I was explaining the concept to a friend that I took the couple out and as soon as I balanced them on the wall to try and demonstrate, I knew immediately it would make a great image. I ran in to get my equipment only to find my friend has taken out a pencil and begun drawing in the ladder. The figures are still in place to this day, I smile every time I’m invited round.
